This cozy and refreshing Peppermint Matcha Latte will be your new favorite drink this holiday season! Made with ceremonial matcha, creamy milk, and a hint of peppermint, this latte is the perfect pick-me-up for chilly mornings or an afternoon treat.
I’ve been drinking matcha for YEARS! I’m a former coffee-addict, turned matcha-lover. I now enjoy experimenting with different ways to flavor up my morning matcha and let me tell you, peppermint and matcha are a winning combination.
I particularly enjoy this peppermint matcha latte during the cooler months, however, you may wish to make an iced version and enjoy it during the summer for a refreshing mint green tea experience.

Step 3. Heat and froth your milk using an electric milk frother. Pour your frothed milk over your matcha tea and top with a dash of cinnamon.
Expert Tips And Notes
- Use High-Quality Matcha Powder: While there are many different matcha powders out there, not all are created equally! You will want to look for certified organic matcha that is also ceremonial grade, not culinary grade. Look for matcha that has a vibrant, deep green color. Typically, the deeper the shade of green is, the higher the quality.
- Take It Slow: Enjoy it slowly! The intent is not to guzzle it down on your morning commute! Take the time to enjoy the process of preparing it, then enjoy it peacefully.
Serving Suggestions
- I love enjoying this drink alongside a slice of Cottage Cheese Banana Bread, or Almond Butter Banana Bread.
- Pair with High Protein Egg Bites, or Cottage Cheese With Fruit Breakfast Bowls for a morning pick-me-up.
- Serve with dark chocolate and a Cinnamon Marshmallow for a sweet treat.
- Enjoy with Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies or Gluten-Free Monster Cookies.
Storage And Reheating
- Storage: I recommend drinking your tea right away! If you must store it, place it in a mason jar and keep it in the fridge for 1 day.
- Reheating: If your matcha cools down too quickly you can reheat it in a small saucepan over low heat. Be careful not to boil it, or it may become bitter.
