This beverage comes together in only a couple of minutes, making it perfect for a busy morning or a mid-day pick-me-up.
I don't know about you, but when September 1st rolls around, I am in full Autumn mode. Bring on the pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, and all the fall flavors! Now, I know what you're thinking – "Fall? In Texas? Isn't it still basically summer?" And you'd be right, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying all the flavors so fall! I’m a huge fan of this drink because it perfectly balances the bold taste of coffee with the warm notes of pure maple syrup.
While Pumpkin Spice Lattes tend to get the most love, I'm here to tell my fellow coffee lovers that you've gotta try this Iced Maple Latte -- you will love it! It's perfect for those warmer autumn days when you want to feel all the fall vibes, but the temperature hasn't dropped below 80 degrees.
This iced coffee pairs well with my Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies, Gluten-Free Almond Butter Banana Bread or pair it with my High-Protein Egg Bites for a quick and easy breakfast.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
- It's Sweetened Naturally: This homemade latte recipe uses real maple syrup instead of artificial sugar. Also, maple syrup adds a complex sweetness that enhances the coffee's flavor rather than overpowering it.
- Easy To Make: This is one of the easiest drinks to make and it doesn't require any fancy equipment.
- Customizable: You can make this maple iced latte with any type of milk you enjoy. You can also adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less maple syrup.
Ingredients
- Espresso: You can use your favorite espresso, but I'd recommend a bold option so that the coffee flavor remains prominent in the drink.
- Milk: I prefer using full-fat, grass-fed milk for this recipe. You can however use low-fat milk or any plant-based milk that you enjoy. I also enjoy using my Easy Cashew Milk.
- Maple Syrup: Look for pure organic maple syrup with no additional ingredients. The maple syrup really is the star of the show, so make sure you choose the best quality you can.
- Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract adds another layer of warmth, and subtle sweetness to this drink.
- Cinnamon: Cinnamon compliments the bitterness of the coffee, and helps balance out the latte.
- Sea Salt: A pinch of sea salt might seem like an unusual addition, but it plays a crucial role in enhancing the drink’s flavor. Salt helps to balance the sweetness of the maple syrup and brings out the natural flavors of the coffee. My favorite is Maldon's Sea Salt.
- Ice: Fill your cup up with more ice than you need, especially if you are short on time and your espresso does not have time to cool.

Substitutions and Variations
- Coffee: If you don't have an espresso machine, you can make this iced latte by using a regular cup of coffee.
- Decaf: You can enjoy this fall drink without the caffeine by making a decaffeinated version. Just brew some decaf coffee and follow the rest of the recipe.
- Hot Latte: You can make a hot latte variation as well. Gently heat the maple milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Then froth and pour over a hot cup of strong coffee.
