Homemade almond butter is so easy to make and it is far more affordable than the grocery store. You just need almonds, sea salt and a touch of honey.

Step 1: Spread almonds out in an even layer on a baking sheet. Roast almonds for 10 minutes, then allow to cool for 5-10 minutes or until they are warm but not hot.

Step 2: Place slightly warm almonds in the food processor and blend for 3-5 minutes. The almonds will start to look crumbly.

Step 3: Once the almonds have become creamy, add in the honey, salt and any extra add-ins. Blend again for another 1-2 minutes.

Step 4: The almond butter is ready when the consistency is smooth and spreadable.

Spread the homemade almond butter on toast, or use it to make almond butter cups, drizzle it on yogurt bowls or add it to smoothies.
