This Dutch Oven Barbacoa recipe is an absolutely flavor-filled fiesta that also happens to be incredibly easy to make.

Barbacoa can be used to make tacos, salads, burritos, or even nachos. All that is required is to sear the meat, add the seasonings, and the oven does the rest!

You will need some chuck roast, onions, garlic, chipotle in adobo, green chilis, some spices, apple cinder vinegar and salt and pepper.

Step 1: Salt and pepper the chuck roast and sear both sides in a hot dutch oven.

Step 2: Remove the chuck roast from the dutch oven and sauté the onions for 7-10 minutes or until soft.

Step 3: Add the chipotles in adobo, green chilis, garlic and spices and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4: Next add the beef broth and apple cinder vinegar and bring to a low boil.

Step 5: Add the chuck roast back into the dutch oven. Cover it and place in the oven and cook for 3-3.5 hours.

Step 6: Remove the chuck roast and place it in a bowl. Using two forks shred the meat into bite size pieces.

Step 7: Remove the sauce from the dutch oven and place it in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

Step 8: Pour the blended barbacoa sauce over the shredded meat and toss to combine.

Use this barbacoa to make tacos, salads, burritos, quesadillas or even nachos.
