You only need a handful of ingredients to make this penne pasta. Grab some salmon, shallots, butter, cream, white wine, pasta and herbs and you are ready to go!
Step 1: In a saucepan over medium low heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter has melted, add the shallots and cook for 5-7 minutes or until soft.
Step 2: Add flour to the pan, then pour in the wine and bring it to a low boil. Continue stirring. Allow the mixture to cook until the wine reduces by half then add in the cream.
Step 5: Once the penne pasta is al dente, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, and then drain the pasta; add it directly to the cream sauce along with the parmesan cheese.
Step 6: Gently toss the penne pasta in the salmon cream sauce, until everything is combined. If your sauce is thick, add some reserved pasta water to the dish and stir to combine.
